I Started on My Hijab

Covering the whole body except face and hands (palm and fingers) is not a choice. It's an absolute obligation for every muslimah in this entire world. I had been ignorant for years for that sentence which is literally stated in Quran. Until that day finally came. I started on my hijab since 3 years ago. For me, it was a decision that came from self-confidence and empowerment, not coercion. It's not my dad who enjoined me to wear hijab, not my mom, not my teacher, not my closest friend nor anyone I know. It's Allah SWT. Thus, nothing could circumvent.

It took a quite long time for me to finally decide to wear hijab. However, trust me, it ain't that hard to decide. You just wondered and kept asking your self, "Is it that necessary wearing hijab? How would people react? How could i put my clothes I have on? Could i still look fashionable? Could i live up to it?". All you need is just faith. Try to convince yourself of all doubt you have, try to find out the answers of all your nescience. Don't act as dumb people, who do nothing when they lack of Islam knowledge.


That's okay if people ask "don't you feel hot wearing hijab?", just simply answer "hell is thousands times hotter..", they will fall silent and understand.


If you are such a fashionable one, don't worry, you will not look old-fashioned or anything. In the modern society of today, you will not get difficult to find clothes, beside it's still stylish, it's syar'i, too. There are so many fashion blogs we can learn from them.
